What's it all about

- why start a job board?

Once starting a job board became one of the methods of monetizing a blog everybody wanted to have one - so did i. Unfortunately none of the available job board plugins offered functionality that the big guys (for example SmashingMagazine, ProBlogger) had.

Therefore i decided to build one. Once i got it done people started to ask about it, so i completely rewrote the WpJobBoard plugin, released it to the public and here it is.

You maybe wandering what job board has to do with blogging - and the answer is: absolutely nothing, but it is a perfect way of doing a business. Think of it:

  • There is nothing to ship or return.
  • It's all automated, you do not waste your time on it.
but what is more important: Starting a job board is a chicken and egg problem. To have a job seekers you need a job posters, but to have job posters you need to have job seekers first. However if you own a blog you already have people interested (or even experts) in particular subject reading your blog and there is a good chance that some of them will be interested in job offers or posting a job.

Problem fixes it self, this is why having a job board is such a powerful, yet easy to use blog monetizing technique and the best part is it's a WIN WIN WIN situation for everyone.

  • You make money and get quality content to your blog
  • Job seeker finds a job
  • Job poster finds a worker

Direct Sales News is the leading on-line news magazine aimed at the Direct Sales industry. After a lot of research to find a Job Board we decided on WpJobBoard for a number of reasons, firstly, it gave us the comprehensive functionality we required including feeds, search and a good range of input/output fields like salary and location. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, support from Greg and his team has been nothing short of fantastic, response times to queries have been extremely fast and the team are very knowledgeable. I would advise any business looking for a Job Board plugin to not hesitate in buying WpJobBoard
