MailChimp is one of the most popular mailing systems. Our integration allows adding registering Employers and Candidates into your mailing lists or newsletters.
This extension is available for download from client panel for Business License owners only.
In order to use the integration, you need to download the MailChimp integration from WPJB client panel and install and activate it from wp-admin / Plugins / Add New / Upload panel.
Configuring MailChimp Integration
Go to wp-admin / Settings (WPJB) / MailChimp panel, you can fine-tune the integration to your needs here.
To make your integration work, you need a MailChimp account. To create one go to the registration page, and fill the form. After completing registration, the next step is to create your API key.
MailChimp explained how to do this in their documentation page, so you can just follow the instructions there. When you will have your API key, just copy it into MailChimp API Key input.
Next, you need to create at least one list on your MailChimp account. When you will have your list, you need to copy List ID. Again, MailChimp explains how to find the List ID in their documentation. When you have List ID, copy it into Employer List ID and/or Candidate List ID. You can use separate lists for Candidates and Employers, or you can use one list for both.
Using the integration
Using integration is very easy. After you fill your configuration on Candidate and Employer registration form (depends on if you provided correct List ID for each user type) you will see new “Newsletter” section with a checkbox. When checkbox will be selected, the user will be added to the corresponding mailing list on your MailChimp system.
On the bottom of the configuration page, you should be able to see the Debugger section.
This box allows you to add existing users to your mailing lists. Clicking “Add Employers” will add all Employers to list with ID provided in Employers List ID. Add Candidate will work similarly. This task may take a while depending on a number of users. Please be patient with the automatic import. When you close browser during the process, some users may not be added to the MailChimp list.
Due to GDPR and other Privacy Policies, we advise using this feature only for testing and debugging purpose (like adding existing users to list on a test environment to check if your connection is working properly). Adding your users to a newsletter without they knowledge may be unwanted action.
We do not provide an option to unsubscribe from the newsletter from a dashboard. The only way to unsubscribe from the newsletter is using MailChimp system. The user should receive an unsubscription link in every e-mail, and also you can unsubscribe the user from the MailChimp dashboard.
